Meeting AF3 and BRGM
A meeting took place between AF3 and BRGM to discuss the WMC, ITTO, and Norway proposals. AF3 proposed the establishment of a WMC in Bali and invited BRGM to participate. Additionally, AF3 offered potential funding through the ITTO and other donor proposals. If BRGM agrees, AF3 will provide assistance with the follow-up process. Dr. Cherryta Yunia and Dr. Aulia Aruan are the designated communication contacts from AF3.

Af3 participated on dialogue the Roundtable on the Evolving Carbon Market Regulation in Indonesia, hosted by IETA, Baker McKenzie, IDCTA, ASEAN BAC and KADIN on 10 May 2023
AF3 Annual Coordination Meeting
On May 18, 2023, an AF3 coordination meeting was held to find out the development of AF3 programs and activities during the year. The meeting was attended by AF3 administrators and Associate Consultants. There are several things that must be followed up in the meeting including preparation of Cooperation Agreement action plans with partners, resolution of pending issues, strengthening facilitation with government partners, and others. The meeting ended with the signing of the meeting minutes.
AF3’s ACTIVE ROLE IN THE “WORLD MANGROVE CENTER (WMC)” WORKSHOP
The Government of Indonesia initiated the construction of the World Mangrove Center (WMC) as a ‘hub’ for mangrove management at the national and global level. WMC is supported by the German Government through the financial cooperation Forest Program VI: Protection of Mangrove Forest.
The WMC workshop held by the Center for Standardization of Sustainable Forest Management Instruments (PuSTARhut) and involving other stakeholders- aims to strengthen concepts and formulate action plans and strategies for accelerating development as well as structuring WMC institutions. AF3 acted as expert and moderator in the event on November 22nd – 23rd 2022 that took place in Jakarta.
THE 14th MEETING OF THE CONFERENCE OF THE CONTRACTING PARTIES (COP14)
The 14th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP14) was held from 5 to 13 November 2022 in Wuhan (China) at the East Lake International Conference Center (ELICC) and Geneva (Switzerland) at the International Conference Center Geneva (CICG). The opening ceremony and high-level segments were held in a hybrid modality with the participation of invited representatives in both Wuhan and Geneva linked via video. Negotiations and all other aspects of COP14 took place in Geneva.
Publishing a new edition of the book “Achieving the Sustainable Management of Forests”

PREPARATION OF COOPERATION PROPOSALS AND HOW TO DO MONEV OF A PROJECT
AF3 Team, Dr. Boen Purnama and Dr. Cherryta Yunia, act as speakers in the discussion that talked about preparation of cooperation proposals and how to do a monitoring & evaluating for a project. The discussion was attended by the institution “Indonesia wildlife foundation” and the “Pusat Kajian Kehutanan” as audience. This event took place on September 6, 2022 in Jakarta.
FACILITATING THE DISCUSSION ABOUT BIOGAS FOR INTEGRATED FARMING
AF3 team facilitated a discussion between Dr. Sri Wahyuni SE, MP as the Biogas Expert, and Madrasah TSANAWIYAH AL-ITTIHADIYAH KUBANG / Haji Mohamad Djunaedi Foundation in Cianjur about biogas development to support integrated farming. The event took place on August 31st, 2022 and was attended by the AF3 team, boarding school management team, and other participants.
